The Icon Initiative is a grassroots organization that seeks to preserve and restore wildlife habitat throughout the Southeastern United States.

Inspired by the story of the Ivory Billed Woodpecker, a species endemic to the Southern US, and its fight to survive against adversity, The Icon Initiative aims to protect threatened and vital species in one of the most biologically diverse regions in North America. 

There are an array of species that need our help, some endemic only to this region of the country.
